Hi! I’m a children’s book illustrator from Fredericksburg, VA.

When I was younger, I was constantly recording life through my sketchbook and the habit grew with me. As I’ve matured, I love the ability to communicate through pictures. I also enjoy the challenge of capturing a child’s attention and getting on their level. The more I learned about art, the more I realized that I could combine my two favorite things- the joy of children and illustration. In college, I gained confidence in my illustrations through classes and later two internships- one at Answers in Genesis working on children’s material and the other a mentorship with renowned illustrator, Brian Jekel. I received an Honorable Mention in PCC’s Commencement Contest (‘24), an Award of Merit (’23), First Place in Illustration (‘25) and Best of Show (‘25). I also received the John F. Frenkel, Sr. Award (’24) in the Pensacola Interstate Fair.

I create hand-drawn illustrations that engage the audience to connect with their childhood taking inspiration from 19th Century Caricatures and other likeminded artists.  I work with traditional mediums of gouache, watercolor, pencils, and pens to tell my stories. With each illustration or character design, I emphasize the use of flowing gestures, textures and shapes. While I’ve learned a lot, all the Glory goes to the Lord- because without Him my work would count for nothing.

I love illustrating children’s book and have worked hard to stand out by producing handmade work in a digital age. I create art that moves all ages with good morals but am specifically burdened for the next generation of children.
